The impact of obesity on infertility

In an interview on the “drkermanidiet” website, Dr. Mohammad Kermani highlights that obesity negatively affects pregnancy in many cases, and new couples do not care about the significance of this matter. 15% of the couples suffer from infertility for some reason. The most typical issue is the polycystic ovary, which has everything to do with cases of overweight in women and considerable growth in waist circumference.

These cause an imbalance in the menstrual cycle and stop pregnancy. Gaining weight affects fetal safety, as fetal health is threatened if the mother is overweight. In men, similarly, weight gain directly influences sperm. In order to solve the obesity issue before marriage, Dr. Kermani recommends that couples lose weight to achieve fitness to facilitate pregnancy and relieve fertility problems.
