Vanderbilt kicker Sarah Fuller named SEC Special Teams Player of the Week

Vanderbilt kicker Sarah Fuller was named a SEC Special Teams Player of the Week on Monday in the wake of turning into the main lady to partake in a Power 5 football match-up throughout the end of the week.

Fuller, who was a goalkeeper on Vanderbilt’s gathering title soccer group, commenced to begin the second half against Missouri.

It was a low stunt kick planned by mentors to restrict the chance of a return. It voyaged 30 yards and was brought down at the 35-yard line.

Missouri proceeded to beat Vanderbilt 41-0.

Fuller turned out to be only the third lady to show up in a FBS game, joining Katie Hnida of New Mexico and April Goss of Kent State.

Vanderbilt approached Fuller to evaluate last Monday after a significant number of the group’s masters must be isolated on account of COVID-19 testing.

Derek Mason, who was terminated as Vanderbilt’s mentor on Sunday, had said after the game that he might want for Fuller to keep kicking for the group on the off chance that she needed to.

On Sunday, Fuller was intending to go to that day’s gatherings and stated, “I’m sticking around until someone tells me to go.

“I would love to learn more, so if those guys come out of quarantine, I would love to learn from them and their experience,” Fuller said. “I’ve been having a lot of fun doing this. It’s a challenge for me, but it’s something I know I can do. It’s applicable from doing a goal kick to a field goal kick, so I want to continue learning, and if those guys can help me, I’m all for it.”

Vanderbilt is scheduled to play at Georgia on Saturday.
