Parag Chariya’s journey from a farmer’s family to an established producer-director in the Gujarat

To make a mark in the music industry is not always an easy game. Many have failed and then there are many who successfully reached their goal. The Indian music industry is vast and has varied genres of music with people who are already acing at it. Parag Chariya is a producer who has been a constant pillar to many folk artists in Gujarat. His struggle to reach here was tough just like everybody else. He belonged to a farmer family with his dad being a secondary school teacher and this aspired him to continue the culture. Parag also joined as a primary school teacher after completing his B.Sc.B.Ed. He was in a secured government job that is when he decided to do something of his own.

Today he owns his own school and he has also helped many institutions through his conditional support. Alongside the unconditional educational awareness campaign, he also decided to open his own music studio as he had always wanted to be a part of the music industry. His production house Studio Shri Shakti has launched multiple artists and songs including Kolini Tani Na Karvi, Mane Laagi Taari Dhoon, Mari Jau to Bhale Mari Jau, Sorathni Amirat and Hulululu Halaa Re amongst others. His love for music has always pushed him to help youngsters reach their goals.

Parag talks about his upcoming project, ‘I love recording new songs and promoting folk music through my channel. I am an extremely proud Indian who believes that preserving music is a part of preserving culture that is why I keep my eyes open for new stars who have equal belief in folk music. My upcoming dream project is “The world’s fastest Hanuman Chalisa” and it has been voiced by Hemantbhai Joshi, a young artist from Gujarat.’
