According to American actor-dancer Lauren Gottlieb, she will perform a dance at the 2023 Oscars to the song Naatu Naatu by Ram Charan and Junior NTR. For the 95th Academy Awards, the RRR song is up for Best Original Song.
Lauren posted pictures of herself posing with the famous Hollywood Sign in the distance. She captioned the pictures, “NEWS SPECIAL!!! At the OSCARS, I’m performing on Naatu Naatu! I’m incredibly thrilled to represent India on the world’s most renowned stage. Good luck to me!” A comment on her post read, “So proud of you! Going to kill it.” Singer-musician Vishal Dadlani wrote, “Whoa Lauren Gottlieb! That’s big!” One more comment read, “Yay!!! We’re so excited for you Lauren! Can’t wait to see your performance.”
MM Keeravani penned the song Naatu Naatu for the SS Rajamouli-directed historical drama RRR. It has been put forth for the upcoming Oscars’ Best Original Song category. RRR is the first Indian movie to be nominated for an Oscar Award in more than 20 years. The first Indian song to receive an Oscar nomination is Naatu Naatu.
