Daisy Coleman, Star of Netflix documentary ‘Audrie & Daisy’, dies at 23

Netflix star Daisy Coleman has died on by self suicide, aged 23.

Documentary subject Coleman showed up in 2016 film Audrie and Daisy. Her body was found after her mom, Melinda, asked police to embrace a government assistance check.

She called Coleman “my best friend and [an] amazing daughter” as she reported the news on Facebook.

She continued: “I think she had to make it seem like I could live without her. I can’t. I wish I could have taken the pain from her!”

Audrie and Daisy uncovered Coleman and Audrie Pott’s encounters of rape in 2012. The narrative investigates the harassing looked by young ambush casualties.

Melissa added: “She never recovered from what those boys did to her and it’s just not fair. My baby girl is gone.”

The narrative subtleties Coleman’s claims that she was assaulted at a gathering when she was 14 years of age by Matthew Barnett, who was 17.

Audrie and Daisy debuted at the Sundance Film Festival. It proceeded to win a Peabody Award.
