In advance of the Oscars, Priyanka Chopra released a tonne of images of her outfit for the South Asian Excellence event. She hosted the event alongside her husband, actor Nick Jonas, and friend Mindy Kaling while sporting a feathery white outfit.
In an interview with ET during the occasion, Priyanka stated the following regarding South Asian representation in movies: “I’m very appreciative that Paramount Pictures allowed us to not just return, but to do so in such a fantastic way. This really is iconic. And seeing my coworkers and colleagues who have worked tirelessly for years receiving a moment that is exclusively theirs as I turn to gaze around makes me want to cry.”
This year’s Oscars have nominated the Telugu movie RRR for Best Original Song. All That Breathes and Elephant Whisperers are also up for Best Documentary and Best Documentary Short. One of the presenters at the event will be Deepika Padukone.
